We’ll be celebrating Chinese New Year in Liverpool on Sunday 22nd February, with a short but vibrant city centre parade, including our newly commissioned Year of the Goat puppet. The event is produced by Liverpool City Council with the Chinese community, to create a great fun day out in Liverpool’s China Town.

Free Half-term family Lantern Workshops and Story Telling

Come along to Central and Toxteth Library over half-term to take part in Chinese New Year activities. There will be traditional Chinese story-telling and shared reading sessions with the City of Readers partnership to get the whole family reading and learning together, and Chinese lantern-making workshops with the Lantern Company to create beautiful lanterns to decorate the Chinese New Year event itself! All sessions are free but please book early for lantern workshops as demand will be high.
