A team of 7 Lantern Company folk have returned from an amazing trip to Hong Kong, courtesy of our partners, Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, for the fabulous Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Festival 15th, 16th and 17th November. We had a ball, and were very proud to present of our specially commissioned illuminated puppets and characters alongside some spectacular work by artists from HKYAF, created under the theme of Biomorphism. We designed and made the 5 characters especially for the event.
The design/making team were: Jo Pocock, Kevin Pollard, Carly Mackay, Ruta Staseviciute, Tony Cairns, Colin Eccleston, with lighting by Jack Sweeney, and Philly Noone and Emily Adamson on artist apprenticeships with us.
It was great to let these crazy creatures loose in public for the first time..!
