We’ve created a beautiful flock of bee-eater bird lanterns, thanks to a new commission by Culture Creative, which are on display as part of this year’s epic Lanterns and Light event at Chester Zoo. As with all new nature work, researching the 27 species of these brilliantly coloured migratory birds was a particular thrill, as was deciding which ones would make the loveliest lanterns.. what a huge mission and what a lot of light and feathers!
