We are super excited to be presenting City of Light, City of Stories at Lumiere Festival this year. Come and find us at College Green. We ‘ve been working with local artists, poets and writers and community groups across County Durham to create a beautiful illuminated lantern city, animated by a soundscape fusing original music by film composer Roma Yagnik with stories gathered from local people who took part in making the work. The installation brings together larger scale artworks by lantern company with beautiful community made lanterns featuring everything from simple houses to grand architectural wonders. The first version of this piece was created in Liverpool 2019 – City of Light , City of Sanctuary.
