2018 began in a spectacular fashion, as we took 2 brand new pieces of work to London for Artichoke’s dazzling Lumiere Festival of Light. The installation ‘NightLife’ a glowing wild garden populated with indigenous creatures and a giant mechanical mobile for Leicester Sq Gardens, and ‘Flamingo Flyway’ a flock of giant illuminated flamingo puppets designed to swoop and glide through China Town, as if on a migration route.

Lumiere brought Central London to a dazzling evening standstill from 18th-21st January 2018, with an estimated 1.5 million people visiting the festival, and our work travelled round the globe digitally, from Mexico to Hong Kong through extensive international media coverage.

The ‘NightLife’ installation transferred to Thornton Heath, Croydon the following weekend as Lumiere London extended to the boroughs, for Thornton Heath’s very lovely and brand new Winter Festival of Light.
