A few thousand people braved the weather to join the fun at our magical evening carnival parade along New Brighton’s beautiful seafront. Peculiar sea birds, Mermaid princesses, Illuminated fish and other creatures from the deep danced their way down the streets, led by the lighthouse keeper, along with a mermaid and her husband and their curious seaside attractions, as well as 100 local children with their colourful lanterns and great music from the fishy Lantern Band. A pyrotechnical finale to specially composed soundtrack by Mary Keith topped a great evening off.
